Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old Single Malt Whisky- 750ml- 43% Alc/vol
2021 Bronze Medal Winner | New York International Spirits Competition
The Glen Breton Rare 19-Year-Old forms part of our range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked American oak casks for richness and complexity. Its notable features include a nose of orange, pine, honey, oil, brine and subtle smoke flavours. The palate is warm and rich, with notes of pepper, cedar, lemon, hazelnut and maple with a long smooth finish. Savour this neat.
I recently purchased my second bottle of the 18-year old. It's definitely on the expensive side but well worth it in my opinion. Although I prefer Islay-based whiskys, I make an exception for this one. It's exceptionally smooth and I love the taste.
All the incredible flavours from fragrance to finish. Nutty, woody, earthy, sweet, and a little subtle fruit. Delicious.
Exceptional quality Scotch. Makes me proud to say I’m Canadian.
This review was dictated to me by my sister. She receive this whisky as a gift from me. She does not have the Internet so this is her review. Cape Breton can be proud of their Gaelic Culture & this great single malt whisky that their Motherland would call its own. It is smooth full bodied with an interesting nose especially caramel with a golden amber colour. It makes a very fine gift for the whisky aficionado.
Breathtaking! When I take that first sip, if it causes that warmth that suffuses my throat and stomach, then releases every saliva gland I have and takes my breath away for a few moments, I know I've had the best. This does exactly that!
...but a little bit too expensive. I bought 2 so far and I am very parsimonious.
